Day 9

Today we woke up at 8:30 because our leader Jessica Black gave us the day off from getting up earlyand going to places that we needed to be at in a certain time.  Francis brought his drum and played some songs on it. As they played songs Warren had us stand up and do a circle as they played a circle dance song. Warren had us join in and play the drums because he wanted us to learn the songs and how to keep beat with veteran drums. We all got a chance to play the drum and be part of the group that was playing a song.  We had an elder that played when he was younger and told us to never get old. The elder’s name was Jim. He has been playing for a very long time. Jim is now 93 years old and he played and could hit the high notes. We went to a fire lookout because Warren had arranged us to go look and ask questions for the person that works at the lookout could answer.  The lookout answered our questions the best of his ability to answer questions.
