We woke up
at 6:30 ish because we needed to be on the road by 7:00. We got on the road about 8:00 because we had
to pack our equipment for our night up at Wellpinite. As we traveled from
Deshutes National Forest to wellpinite we stopped on the way and gassed up and
bought snack and drinks. We had some weird noice start up in one of our cars.
We took it to a parts house and one of the workers came out and had one of our
teachers start it back up. The parts house worker listened to the engine and
said it might be a barring going out on the belt holders. The parts house
worker said that the car can travel for a long time before going out. We also
stopped at rest areas to use the restrooms so that the kids didn’t get any health
problems in their older age. After the multiple pit stops we finally made it to
wellpinite. We unpacked and started setting up camp when our host and his
friend came to greet us.Their names are Warren Seylor and Frances. Both of them
live here in wellpinite and love to have us here. Warren has made many friends
from the group of students that travel for Heritage and White Swan. The students make both of them very happy.
