Day 3

Today we woke up at 6:30 ish and had to make our breakfast and lunch because we needed to be ready by 8:oo. We helped our U.S. forest service supervisor by clearing out and making the trail wider for people that are running, walking, riding bikes, and horse back rideing. Our U.S. supervisor’s name was Jessi Larson and she has been workingin the forestservice for 11 years. She needed needed to take a class on how to maintain and fix chainsaws.  We were trimming and cutting down trees and trowing them out of the way. She started the chainsaw and she helped cut trees and trim trees. She worked as a woodland firefighter and then went to the forest service. She is the trail maintenance worker for the Deshutes forest because they want their trails to look nice. We got to check out the Deshutes river because we were hiking that way. As we were trimming and cutting down trees we were talking about ways to help them grow and survive.
